Audio: Share your favorite song from this summer.
There's so much I love about the song. The fun, summery feel to it, the awesome guitar solo, the line "my name is Travi and I'm pretty much a big deal," and Patrick Stump's awesome featured vocals (they make me pink parts tingle!).
And the video is even more awesome for the cameo appearances. Pete Wentz is Elvis and as for the poker party animals? Well...just watch and see :)
- Boys are stupid
- I have no idea how to be a girl
- Even if I knew how to be a girl I don't think I'd want to
- I'm sure I could learn to be a girl, but at the same time that's just not who I am and it would be asking me to rob myself of large vestiges of my personality
- No, really, I'm pretty sure that BITCH on "What Not To Wear" would discourage my affection for skulls as "unfeminine"
- I want someone to run that bitch from "What Not To Wear" over in a truck. Preferably one carrying Hot Topic merchandise
- I don't have issues, I have SUBSCRIPTIONS
- No, really, boys are stupid
- I really don't understand how layering tank tops makes them "more feminine" looking
- The short hair was a total mistake
- BOYS, YOU ARE SO STUPID!
- The Jamaican nunnery option is actually sounding appealing at this point.
Bag is at 51 of 120 rows before I have to work on the straps. It's all straight knitting now so it's sort of a no brainer. I dropped a few stitches during my increase rows, but managed to fix that pretty easily.
Those are plastic bags shoved into it so it photographed better. The things you learn while working at a camera store, huh?
Oh, right, I do still have this thing.
No writing updates, as that's been given up on. Not writing as a whole, but this as a writing blog.
I'm mostly doing this to show off the actual honest-to-goodness knitting I've been doing recently.
Those are my arm warmers I've been working on for months. I got the first one done quickly (well, after I cast it on for the third time) and then slacked on the second because it was so damned repetitive. But they turned out very cute and I'm kind of dorking over them.
So, with that project finally finished I am feeling very confident about the whole "knitting in the round" thing. So, I finally started my felted bag I've had the stuff for since Christmas:
And yes, as I told statknitter last night, the paper clip is my stitchmarker. STOP MOCKING ME! I know you won't!
I'm about to start row 19 of it, which means I'm almost done with my damned increases. I'm really excited and think it going to be an adorable bag. I want to have it done in time for my Florida trip. Mostly so I can start another project to knit on the way there. My other project involves teaching my younger brother to knit, because I think it would be hysterical.
Haha! Yeah. I kinda forgot about this place. Forgive me and all that good stuff.
Anyway, busy making travel plans for August through November. It's looking more and more like Philly for Labor Day might not be affordable unless I'm only flying one way. And I may or may not be able to take that Friday off, considering I'm taking the entire previous week off for Florida.
As for NYC in November for my 25th? I should be able to fly pretty cheap on Jet Blue and so long as I have a place to stay I'm golden. If it all works out I'm planning to fly in Friday morning and take the day before HOPEFULLY heading to AK-47 that night. (YES, I AM A DORK! WITNESS ME IN DORK FORM! YOU WANT CORN? I GIVE YOU CORN! SO MUCH CORN DO I GIVE!)

I'd then fly back on Sunday. Train won't work since it's a 9 hour trip from Pittsburgh to NYC PLUS they won't let me travel back on Sunday. AMTRAK >:(
Sort of.
Since my last "update" I have:
Cut ties with people that needed to get the hell away from me.
Reconnected with an old friend and am hoping for a date, or at least some casual sex.
Moved into my first solo apartment.
Agreed to work on a movie script with a friend (zombies + wedding + pissed off bride = omg we have to write this)
Had no luck in locating a new job, but am at this point holding out until after my vacation in August.
Realized I have to get off my ass and lose weight before Florida.
Decided to try and plan some sort of trip to New York City, either for my 25th birthday or sometime next year, to visit Angels and Kings, the new bar that the guys from Fall Out Boy, The Academy Is..., Gym Class Heroes and Cobra Starship have opened.
*Almost* finished my first non-scarf knitting project.
So...yeah. It's been a busy month or so.
Now we see what's really important to me in case of a zombie outbreak:
